Flamborough Residential and Day Treatment Program

  • 8-bed residential and day treatment program.
  • Youth ages 12-15.
  • Run at the Flamborough site.
  • Referrals through Contact Hamilton are required.
  • The program also works closely with families.
  • The treatment program provides a caring, safe, therapeutic and stable environment for youth experiencing challenges with their mental health and who may be experiencing difficulties in their current living situation.
  • The residential service is available to youth who are experiencing emotional, social and behavioural difficulties as well as other mental health concerns,  which are of an intensity and frequency that a less intrusive level is believed to not be of sufficient benefit to the youth and family at that time.

The program is staffed by professional Child and Youth Workers and a part-time Social Worker.

Day Treatment Program

Youth in residence can also attend the Day Treatment classroom at the Flamborough site. The Day Treatment program provides a therapeutic learning environment. The Day program is staffed by a full-time Child and Youth Worker, working with Residential staff, and a Special Education Teacher, who is employed by the local Board of Education.

Clinical Resources

The team can call on an array of clinical resources, including a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Occupational Therapist, FASD consultant, Clinical Assessments and Measures, and Complex Needs consultant.

The ultimate goal of service is the re-integration of the youth to family or a less intrusive setting.

Referrals can be made by calling Contact Hamilton at 905-570-8888.
