Ensuring Access to Services
Moving on Mental Health is an important part of Ontario’s Comprehensive Mental Health and Addictions Strategy. Our goal is to ensure children, youth and families have access to:
- mental health services in their communities, and
- mental health services and supports that meet their needs.
By strengthening the community-based system that delivers mental health services, we will bring people and organizations closer together locally, and benefit everyone.
Lead Agency for Hamilton Area
To realize these goals, the Ministry of Children and Youth Services has identified 33 geographical service areas responsible for analyzing, planning, funding, monitoring and evaluating the child and youth mental health services in their areas.
Lynwood Charlton Centre was designated by the Ministry as the Lead Agency for the Hamilton Service Area in August of 2014.
